Understand sending and list rules

Learn about sending limits, list checks, bounce and complaint thresholds, reporting and API access.

Buying a sending allowance and having a suitable list are separate matters. Check these rules before choosing a package or importing a new list.

How do sending limits work?

Are there daily or hourly limits?

Standard paid packages do not have a separate daily sending cap. An annual volume package gives you the email allowance you buy, valid for 12 months. Older contact-based plans use their own sending allowances. Account-specific safety limits can also apply.

The standard daily trial limit is 250 emails. Check the allowances shown in your account. The platform manages sending speed, so having no daily cap does not mean your entire list sends at once.

How should I start sending?

Check the list first, then begin with people who recently gave permission and recognise your business. Increase the audience in small groups while watching bounces and complaints. Warming up does not make a list collected without consent acceptable. Resolve any review or hold shown in the app before continuing.

Which lists are accepted?

Can I send cold emails?

No. Recipients must have given permission to receive your marketing emails. Do not send to bought, rented or scraped addresses. Keep the source and date of consent. Read the full Anti-Spam Policy.

No. Verification checks whether an address is technically reachable. It does not measure permission or interest, and it cannot guarantee that nobody will complain.

What happens before sending?

How do testing and cleaning differ?

The free bounce test uses known results and a sample to estimate list risk. It does not mean every address has been checked. Full verification assesses the whole list and uses verification credits for the live checks required. Invalid addresses are blocked. Follow Verify and clean your email list.

Which results hold a send?

The test considers the margin of error as well as the estimated percentage. If the estimated invalid rate minus its margin is above 5%, the list must be cleaned before sending. When the estimate is above 5% but the lower bound is 5% or below, a warning may appear. Follow the result and action shown in the app.

Sending waits while a list check involving the intended recipients is running. New addresses added later are not automatically covered by the previous cleaning result.

When is sending stopped?

What triggers an automatic review?

The standard automatic check uses the account’s last 7 days of sending once there are at least 200 sends in that window. Hard bounces and spam complaints are assessed separately. Reaching either threshold is enough.

ResultReview, sending heldSending stopped
Hard bounces5% or more, below 10%10% or more
Spam complaints0.1% or more, below 0.5%0.5% or more

These rates use all sends from the account over the last 7 days, not one campaign. They are standard thresholds for the automatic safety check, not permission to keep sending until those levels are reached. Account-specific limits, first-send review and the Anti-Spam Policy also apply. Check the notification and share the required corrections with support.

Are problem contacts excluded automatically?

Future sends are blocked for addresses that hard bounce or report spam. Unsubscribed contacts are also excluded from the audience. Under the standard rule, 5 soft bounces without a successful delivery in between result in the address being blocked. Do not reimport a contact to bypass a block.

Which results can I review?

What do reports include?

You can review sends, opens, clicks, hard and soft bounces, spam complaints and unsubscribes. Bounce reasons and unsubscribe explanations are also available. Provider breakdowns include Gmail, Outlook and other services, but they do not guarantee inbox placement.

Are blocklists monitored continuously?

No. A spam test checks sender authentication, the blocklists covered by the test and email content at that moment. It is not continuous domain reputation or blocklist monitoring. Check your plan for its spam test allowance.

What can the API do?

Paid packages include API access to manage contacts and list memberships, and read blocked addresses and campaign reports. Webhooks send supported events to your system. Direct campaign sending takes place in the app. Custom events sent through the API can trigger automations you have already activated.

Frequently asked questions

Does list verification prevent spam complaints?

No. Verification checks the technical state of an address. It does not prove that the recipient wants your emails or has given permission.

Does a paid package include a daily sending limit?

Standard paid packages do not have a separate daily cap. Your sending allowance, its expiry date and account safety checks still apply.

Can I send a campaign through the API?

Direct campaign sending happens in the app. A custom event sent through the API can trigger an email automation that you have already set up and activated.

How can an account under review send again?

Check the reason in the notification and share your list source, consent records and required corrections with support. Sending resumes according to the review outcome.
