Write and edit text with GrafAI

In the email editor GrafAI works in three places: the text toolbar, the row toolbar and the Rows panel. You see every result first, and your email does not change until you accept it. For the editor itself, see Get to know the email editor.

Edit the text in a block

1. Double-click a Heading or Text block

   The GrafAI button is the last one on the toolbar that opens above the block.

2. Select the text and click GrafAI

   With nothing selected, GrafAI takes the whole block. You can select up to 3,000 characters at a time.

3. Choose an action

   Improve writing, Shorten, Expand, Fix spelling and grammar, Change tone or Translate. Change tone offers Friendly, Professional and Direct. Translate suggests two languages first, and More languages… opens the full list. For anything else, type your request in the field at the bottom and send it with Enter. Each action costs 1 credit.

4. Use the result

   Replace writes the result over the selected text and Insert below adds it underneath as a new paragraph. Try again asks for a new result and costs 1 more credit. A Heading block has no Insert below.

Fix spelling and grammar keeps the language and the tone of your text. Merge tags such as {{first_name}} stay in place whatever the action.

Have GrafAI write into an empty block

In an empty Heading or Text block, the same button opens Write with GrafAI. Say what the text should cover in at least 10 characters and click Write. In a Text block you first choose Short, Medium or Long; in a Heading block GrafAI writes a one-line heading. It costs 2 credits, and Insert places the result in the block.

Rewrite a row

1. Select the row

   Move the mouse over the row and click the Row label that appears on its left. If the row has text, Rewrite shows on the row toolbar. Click it.

2. Choose what you want

   Pick Write it differently, Make it shorter or Add more detail, or type your own request and send it with Enter. A rewrite costs 2 credits.

3. Compare and decide

   On the bar that opens, switch between Original and New. Keep new writes the new text into the email, Discard leaves the row as it was and Try again asks for another version.

The email only changes when you click Keep new, and one Undo takes it back. GrafAI changes headings, text and button labels only. Images, colours and links stay the same, and a paragraph that contains a link is left as it is.

Create a new row with GrafAI

1. Open the Rows panel

   The Create a row with GrafAI card is at the top of the panel.

2. Describe the row and click Create row

   Type at least 10 characters, for example “Two products side by side, each with a photo, a name and a button”. It costs 5 credits.

3. Click Keep row

   The row is previewed on the email, under the selected row, and takes the styles of the email. Keep row adds it to the email and Discard removes the preview.
