Monitor automation performance
Read flow results and understand when to pause, resume or stop an automation.
The Automations page shows the status, trigger and headline results for every flow. Open an automation and view its report when you need to understand how contacts are moving through individual steps.
Read the overview
The columns on the Automations page provide a quick summary:
- Status shows whether the automation is Draft, Active, Paused, Stopping or Archived.
- Entered shows how many contacts have entered the automation.
- Active shows contacts that have not yet reached the end.
- Completed is the number that reached the end of the flow.
- Updated shows when the automation was last changed.
The report counts each entry as an automation run. The current entry policy is once per contact, so the same contact does not enter this automation a second time.

For each step, you can see how many contacts reached it, moved on or were skipped. Conditions show the Yes and No split while A/B steps show the A and B distribution.
The flow report explains how contacts progress through the automation. Detailed opens, clicks, bounces and unsubscribes for its emails remain in Campaigns reports.
Pause or resume the automation
To stop new entries temporarily or make changes, open the row menu and click Pause. While an automation is paused:
- New contacts do not enter the flow.
- The remaining duration is frozen for contacts on a Wait step.
- You can edit the flow and its email details.
Click Resume when you are ready. Waiting contacts continue with the time they had left. If you changed the flow, click Activate new version for new contacts; contacts already in the automation stay on the version they entered.
Stop the automation
To close an automation permanently, open its menu and click Stop. By default, new contacts stop entering while contacts already in the flow finish their remaining steps. The status is Stopping during this period and changes to Archived after the last run finishes.
If the contacts in the flow should leave immediately, select Also cancel contacts currently in the flow in the confirmation dialog. They exit and receive no further automation emails.
Stopping cannot be undone
A paused automation can be resumed. A stopped automation cannot be restarted; create a new automation if you need to run the flow again.
Delete an automation
Only Draft or Archived automations can be deleted. Click Delete in the row menu to remove the automation and its run history permanently. Results for emails that were already sent remain in reports.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Pause and Stop?
Pause is temporary: it stops new entries and freezes the remaining time for waiting contacts. Stop closes the automation. Existing contacts can either finish their steps or leave immediately.
What does Stopped or failed include?
It includes automation runs that were cancelled or could not complete because of an error.
Where can I find open and click details?
The automation report focuses on flow and step counts. Detailed email opens, clicks, bounces and unsubscribes are available in Campaigns reports.
Can I delete an active automation?
No. Only Draft or Archived automations can be deleted. Stop an active automation first.
