Use GrafAI and credits
See what GrafAI does, what each task costs in credits, where your credits come from and how to turn GrafAI off.
GrafAI is MailGraf's AI assistant. It writes and edits text, drafts emails, creates images and summarises reports. You see what every task costs in credits before you start it: the price is next to the button or at the bottom of the panel that opens.
What each task costs

Reading a saved report summary costs nothing. If a task cannot be completed, your credits are returned. They are also returned when you click Cancel while an image or an email draft is being created.
Where credits come from
A trial account receives 30 credits once; they expire when the trial ends. The Starter plan includes 30 credits every month and the Pro plan includes 60. Monthly credits reset at the end of each period; unused credits do not carry over.
If you need more, buy a pack:
Open the Plan and credits tab in Settings > Billing
Scroll to the GrafAI credits section. It shows the credits you have left and your recent activity.Click a pack
Choose the pack of 100, 250 or 500 credits. The payment panel opens.Complete the payment
The credits are added to your account when the payment is complete and are valid for 12 months from the day you buy.
What is sent
GrafAI only works when you click a GrafAI button, and only for that task. Depending on the task, this is what is sent:
- The text of the email, row or field you are working on
- What you type as a request or description
- Your brand name and font names, for email drafts
- The colours, subject line and a short excerpt of your email, for images
- Report totals, the email campaign's name, subject line and send date, and clicked link addresses, for report summaries
- The address of the image, for alt text
Contact names, email addresses, lists and segments are never sent, whatever the task.
You see every result first. Nothing in your email changes unless you choose to use it.
Turning GrafAI off
The account owner can turn off Use GrafAI on this account in Settings > GrafAI. While it is off, no one on the account sees a GrafAI button and nothing is sent.

What happens when I run out of credits?
When your credits do not cover a task, GrafAI does not start it and shows a Buy credits link. The link takes you to the GrafAI credits section of the Billing page, where you can buy a pack.
Does GrafAI change my email by itself?
No. You see every result first. Nothing in your email changes unless you choose to use it.
Do unused monthly credits carry over?
No. Monthly credits reset at the end of each period. Packs you buy are valid for 12 months.
