Connect your AI assistant to MailGraf

MCP connects your AI assistant to your MailGraf account. Through conversation, you can create email campaigns, review their results and organise your lists.

You need a MailGraf plan with API access, an owner or admin role, and an assistant that supports remote MCP connections.

Connect your assistant

1. Copy the MCP address

   In MailGraf, open Settings > Developers > MCP and click Copy address. The connection address is https://api.mailgraf.com/mcp.

2. Add the connection in your assistant

   In your assistant's connection settings, choose the option to add a remote MCP server or custom connector. Paste the address and start connecting. The name of this section depends on your assistant.

3. Authorise access to MailGraf

   Sign in on the MailGraf screen that opens. Check the account and requested permissions, then click Authorize. Return to the chat and try “Show my MailGraf lists and their contact counts”.

Create a campaign through conversation

For example, ask:

Let's prepare a new product announcement for my Newsletter list. Show my saved templates, then help me adapt the copy once I choose one. Send me a test email first.

The assistant creates a campaign draft from your chosen template. You can set the sender, subject, audience and content in the chat. Ask it to “Shorten the heading” or “Replace the product link with this address” to edit the draft.

After checking the test email, ask for the sending summary. The assistant shows the recipient count, sender, subject and any outstanding checks. Sending or scheduling requires the connection's sending permission and your approval of the summary. List checks and account reviews still apply.

Try other requests

• Add contacts: “Add [email protected] to my Newsletter list; I already have permission to email them.” With write permission, the assistant adds the contact or updates their existing record. Each request can add up to 1,000 contacts; this is not your account’s total contact limit. For larger lists, use the import screen in MailGraf.
• Compare results: “Compare my last three campaigns by open and click rate.” See which campaign attracted more interest.
• Build an audience: “How many contacts clicked my emails in the last 30 days? Save them as a segment.” Select that group in a future campaign.
• Check a list before sending: “Run a bounce test on my Newsletter list and explain the result.” After the free sample test, if full cleaning is needed, the assistant asks for your approval before using verification credits.
• Prepare a welcome series: “Use a ready-made template to create a welcome series for new contacts joining my Newsletter list.” Prepare the emails together, then review and approve the summary before activating the flow.

Disconnect your assistant

Open Settings > Developers > MCP, find your assistant and click Disconnect. That connection can no longer access your account.
