Publish and share a form

You can share a form with a link hosted by MailGraf or embed it inside your own website. Both methods use the same form and the same list.

Publish the form

Before publishing for the first time, check the design, fields, list and post-submission behaviour. MailGraf will not publish a form without a list.

1. Open the form's studio from Forms

   Hover over the form's row and click Edit form. The same option is in the row's three-dot menu.

2. Click Preview

   Try the form as it works. Check the desktop and mobile layouts with Desktop and Mobile in the top bar.

3. Click Publish

   The Publish this form? window shows which list contacts will join. Confirm with Publish; the button then reads Published.

When you change a published form, Publish changes appears in the top bar; use it to publish your changes. To close a form, open the row's three-dot menu in the Forms list and choose Archive. An archived form goes back to draft with Restore.

Check what happens after submission

Before sharing the form, check After submit in Form settings. Keep Show a message selected to show the form's thank-you message. To send visitors to your own page, choose Go to a page and enter the address.

If the form shows the consent box, tell visitors on that page to check their inbox and use the confirmation link. Sending them to a page does not remove double opt-in.

On accounts with a contact limit, a new contact cannot finish double opt-in while the limit is full. The signup stays pending. Once capacity is available, the visitor can try again with an unexpired confirmation link. On the monthly plan, this happens only at the fair-use limit of 500,000 contacts. 12-month packages have no contact limit and do not use this capacity block.

Copy the share link

Click Share in the studio's top bar. In the Share and embed window, Share a link shows the link that opens the form on its own page hosted by MailGraf.

Click Copy. Use the link on your website, social profiles or in direct messages. The link does not work while the form is a draft.

Embed the form on your website

In the same window, click Copy under the code in Embed on your website. The code has two lines. Add both lines to your site and place the div line where the form should appear.

Once the form is published, visitors complete it on your page. After a successful submission, they see the form's thank-you message or go to the page you chose. To see results, click the form's name in the Forms list: the report shows which channel sign-ups came from and a People table. For newsletter signups, follow Awaiting confirmation, Confirmed, Link expired and Bounced there, and send the confirmation email again to a waiting contact with Resend.
