Style the mobile version
Set how the email looks on a phone: mobile-only text size and spacing, and blocks that show on one device only.
The same email can look different on desktop and on a phone. You set the mobile version separately; the desktop version does not change.
Edit the mobile version
Click Mobile in the top bar
The email is shown at phone width. Use the Small (375 px) and Large (430 px) options on screen to try two phone widths.Click the block you want to change
The left panel shows You are editing for mobile.Change the value
For example, type 18 in Size. This value applies on mobile only; on desktop the text keeps its old size.Click Both to check
Desktop and mobile open side by side. To go back to editing, click Desktop or Mobile.
Every setting you do not change on mobile uses the desktop value. A monitor icon appears next to such a field.
Show a block on one device only
Click the block and open Visibility
The section is in the left panel. If the block has tabs, it is inside the Style tab.Choose under Show on
Pick All, Desktop or Mobile. If you pick Mobile, the block is hidden on desktop. If you pick Desktop, the block is hidden on phones.
A hidden block looks faded in the editor and carries a Hidden on desktop or Hidden on mobile label.
Columns and global mobile settings
- Stack columns on mobile: in the row's panel, under Mobile. While it is on, side-by-side columns sit one above the other on phones.
- Global settings > Mobile: Body text size and Side padding set the mobile values for the whole email.
- Global settings > Buttons > Full width on mobile: while it is on, buttons fill the whole row on phones.
Outlook desktop
The Windows desktop version of Outlook does not apply device-specific settings. The email opens there in its desktop version, and a block you meant for mobile only is shown as well.
Frequently asked questions
Does a change I make on mobile alter the desktop version?
No. A value you enter while in the mobile view applies on mobile only. The desktop version stays the same.
I want a different image on phones. How do I do that?
Add two Image blocks. Set Show on to Desktop for one and to Mobile for the other.
How do two side-by-side columns look on a phone?
If Stack columns on mobile is on for the row, the columns sit one above the other. If it is off, they stay side by side on phones too.
