What does the A/B split do in an automation?

The A/B split sends contacts down path A or B using the percentage you choose, from 1 to 99% for A. Each contact stays on the same path. The flow report shows how many took each path, and each email step shows its own opens and clicks. You can compare different content or timing across the two paths.

What happens to people already in a flow when I change it?

They finish on the version they started. Your changes go live when you activate the new version, and only contacts who enter after that follow it.

Can one automation start another?

Yes. Choose the trigger Another automation completes. Contacts enter when they reach the end of the automation you pick. An automation cannot trigger itself, and completions before activation do not count.

What can start an automation flow?

Joining a list or a segment, receiving a tag, visiting a page or submitting a form on your site, opening an email or clicking a link in it, a hard bounce, a custom event from your own systems, or another automation completing.

What happens when I pause a flow?

No new contacts enter and waiting contacts are frozen. When you resume, every wait carries on with the time it had left.
